This Leo Sunrise formed in the Netherlands in 2005. The band's sound emerged from a shared love of delicate folk-like songs and more capricious instrumental rock music.

Evolved by sticking together, all energy and matter has been bundled in their latest double album "...and still return..."

The album was recorded live in May 2024 at Het Jagershuis, an old house in the south of the Netherlands. The attic became a studio within 24 hours. The dogma: everything recorded live, including lead vocals. Each member had to kill their darlings, accept imperfection for the sake of the whole song, maximum three takes per piece.

This Leo Sunrise is a Netherlands-based band formed in 2005, known for their delicate folk-inflected rock and experimental instrumentation. Their fourth album "...and still return..." (2026) is a double LP chronicling 20 years of evolution, recorded live with a maximum-three-takes rule. The band has toured extensively and shared stages with The Low Anthem, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Damien Jurado and Great Lake Swimmers, to name a few.
